Use ointment or cream like Desitin, Diaparene, Balmex, Tiple Paste or topical application medication with zinc oxide to treat diaper rashes. Rashes caused by allergic reaction or other skin conditions can be treated by topical steroids however avoid using them if rashes are caused by fungal infection. Food and detergents - Diaper rashes may be caused by food allergy especially in babies. Identify the food causing allergic reaction to prevent them. Also, using mild detergent prevents and helps in treating them. Diaper rashes often disappear in 3-4 days however consult the doctor if the condition worsens.
