Take about 1/3 cup of ginger (finely ground) and mix it in water and soak the affected part in this mixture for about 30 minutes. This will cause the skin to sweat and help eliminate the uric acid. It is important to have a bath after this procedure as the long term exposure to ginger can make the skin dry and cause irritation. Mustard: Mustard can also be used to manage the pain. You can make a paste by mixing one part of mustard powder and one part of whole wheat powder with water and apply it on the affected area overnight to get pain relief.
